The Innovative Nuclear Research Integration Office (INR-IO) is
seeking a skilled professional to join its unique team of
professionals as a Solicitation & Data Reporting Specialist.
INR-IO manages competitive research and student support
solicitations and associated peer review activities for the
Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE). The
resulting research portfolio promotes integrated and collaborative
research conducted by national laboratory, university, industry,
and international partners under the direction of NEs programs. The
responsibilities of the INR-IO include establishing and
implementing strategic objectives and executing solicitation
processes to maintain desired outcomes while maintaining the
integrity of the competitive processes.
As the Solicitation & Data Reporting Specialist, the individual
will be primarily responsible for:
The collection and assembly of investigator supplied information to
support quarterly and annual reporting in the DOE-NE Program
Information Collection System (PICS),
Maintaining informational based tools (e.g. Excel spreadsheets or
program databases) to assist DOE-NE in the tracking, status and
associated information of DOE-NE funded projects resulting from
Coordinating program processes such as No Cost Extensions (NCEs),
travel requests, or investigator moves between organizations with
DOE systems and program managers, and
Assisting in the selection and management of technical reviewers to
support competitively reviewed DOE-NE solicitations (e.g. the
Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research or Small Business
Innovative Research Funding Opportunity Announcements) by having an
understanding of concepts and practices of nuclear science and
engineering and associated topical areas.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the position will also
be involved in supporting process execution tasks associated with
DOE-NE sponsored opportunities such as the Integrated University
Program Scholarship and Fellowship, Small Business Innovative
Research, or Industry Opportunities for Advanced Nuclear Technology

A Bachelors degree and 2-5 years applicable experience, a Masters
degree and 1-3 years applicable experience or a PhD and 0-2 years
applicable experience is required.
Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills and familiarity
with data entry are a must.
Well developed skills in Microsoft Office software and an ability
to work in a highly collaborative task-based environment are
Preferred candidates will have manipulation and management
experience in database systems such as FedConnect, Portfolio
Analysis and Management System (PAMS), Grants.Gov, or Program
Information Collection System: Nuclear Energy (PICS:NE). This is an
exemplary list, other databases will be applicable.
