Job Description The Information Security Services unit is staffing up to support NNL line organizations in efficiently meeting their mission while ensuring protection of classified and sensitive information. The successful candidate must possess excellent critical thinking skills, as they will apply technical and information security judgement to optimize NNL's ability to conduct business with external organizations. This position will include a wide range of assignments, including: Collaboration across NNL departments to guide the development and implementation of information protection requirements and tools.Developing information protection strategies/plans, including plans for foreign procurements.Investigating information security issues and advising NNL lines of business on corrective actions. This position offers the opportunity to gain familiarity with the interpretation and application of security requirements while working with a broad range of Naval Reactors Program technical and business support communities. The duties and responsibilities of this position require the ability to interact professionally with employees across NNL, other Prime Contractors, and the government as well as collaborate and consult with subject matter experts. At the senior/principal level, the successful candidate is expected to drive process improvements and gain buy in from stakeholders such as Naval Reactors. Derivative Classifier qualification will expedite the selected candidate's ability to perform key tasks. Job Requirements Demonstrated customer and interpersonal skills. Ability to qualify as a Derivative Classifier. Senior: Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years relevant experience; orMaster's degree in a degree in a technical, engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience Principal: Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years relevant experience; orMaster's degree in a degree in a technical, engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years relevant experience Job Preferred Skills Experience working with government agency requirements, regulations, and policies.
