The Information Management Organization at Idaho National Laboratory is seeking candidates for Data Network Engineer specializing in boundary firewall protection administration. This individual will utilize engineering knowledge, practices, and techniques to solve applied and operational problems related to IT infrastructure and perform daily operational tasks as directed in information technology.
Areas include network/telecommunications, network security, network management, network engineering, and network operations. This position will focus on the boundary protection and firewall daily operations and requires the ability to understand INL infrastructure and deployment in support of firewall rule requests and URL filtering tasks.
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience or Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience
Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) "L" security clearance
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Checkpoint firewall administration
Layer 2, 3, and 4 switching and token passing architectures
Protocols: Internet protocol suite TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6)
Enterprise network management applications
Exposure to Linux, Sun Solaris OS architectures
Windows system administration
