As Director of CaseManagement at EIRMC you will have the opportunity to use your clinical and leadership backgroundto effectively lead a team that is dedicated toserving others in need and supporting one another. In this role:

  • You will collaboratewith physicians and the interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care,with the underlying objective of enhancing quality of clinical outcomes andpatient satisfaction.
  • You will facilitatecollaboration of the management of patient care across the continuum andintervene as necessary to identify barriers to patient care.
  • You will hire, train, and develop talented people while building team spirit and fostering a culture that nurtures effective recruitment and retention of staff.
  • You will plan, organize and distribute work among supervised staff to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • You will participate with nursing departments, CNO, and CMO for discharge planning and transitional care.
  • You will participate in denials research and management, and will be a member of the hospital Denials Committee.
  • You will ensure staffmembers have sufficient information to comply with laws, regulations and policies,as well as resources to resolve ethical dilemmas to ensure that departmentoperations are compliant with laws, regulations, and accrediting bodies.
  • You will use data todrive decisions and plan/implement performance improvement strategies relatedto case management for assigned patients, including fiscal, clinical andpatient satisfaction data.
  • You will maintain athorough knowledge of community resources, programs, services, and equipmentavailable to assist patients as well as the legal processes that impactdischarge planning and share this knowledge regularly with your team. The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern IdahoRegional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a full-service hospital with 318patient beds. It serves as the region s healthcare hub, serving SoutheastIdaho, Western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is home to a LevelII Trauma Center , a Level1 ICU (of only two in Idaho), and the only BurnCenter in the state of Idaho. Our ER isthe most experienced in the region. The hospital's other specialty servicesinclude the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit capableof caring for babies born as early as 22 weeks gestation; the region sonly Pediatric Intensive Unit, the largest heart program in the region, a Behavioral Health Center which is a74-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital and theregion s only Primary Stroke Center .

    Qualifications
  • Current Idaho State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Case Management and Denial Management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Utilization Review, InterQual and/or MedicalNecessity.
  • Certification in case management or utilization review preferred.
  • American Red Cross orAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS)Certification.
