looking for! Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Bioenergy Feedstock
Technologies group is seeking forward-thinking professionals
interested in exploring a career as a Department Manager! This
department leads the research, development and verification of
technical programs that will revolutionize the nation's clean
energy portfolio through technology development of feedstocks for
biofuels, bioproducts, and biomaterials. Responsibilities Include:
- Develop staffing plans, lead the recruiting and retention of
highly skilled staff - Lead and motivate researchers toward
increasing the numbers and impact of technical products (papers,
presentations, patents, etc.) that raise the scientific eminence of
the department. - Participate and lead planning to integrate and
grow capabilities and ensure work is performed safely and within
budget parameters and scope and be the Funds Manager for
approximately $20 million in annual work scope. - Lead all aspects
of the technical quality of all reports, publications, and data
that demonstrates technical leadership in area of study/field. -
Support and provide leadership for the Biomass Feedstock National
User Facility. Minimum Requirements: - MS degree in a science or
engineering field of study with over 10 years of professional
experience. - Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to obtain a DOE L
security clearance. - Knowledge of and experience in bioenergy
feedstock processing technologies. - Proven ability to develop
relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers. -
Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance principles and
procurement processes. Preferred Requirements: - PHD in a Science
or Engineering field of study. - DOE Laboratory management
experience of a minimum of 10 FTE's, exempt and non-exempt
