learn!Job Summary and QualificationsAs the Nurse Manager of the
Medical Oncology unit you will be responsible for planning,
administering, and evaluating the operations of the department. You
will collaborate with physicians to expedite information and have
the ability to lead, coach and mentor our skilled staff. We are
looking for someone who has a passion for providing excellent
patient care to our most vulnerable patients and feels patient care
is as meaningful as we do.In this Manager role:
- You will have experience with role modeling and sustaining
patient and family centered care and direct staff as they care for
patients and educate families.
- You will demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate
patient care, maintaining departmental flow and directing the staff
assignments as needed.
- You will work with the Director on department staffing; hiring,
evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling of staff.
- You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially
under pressure
- You will develop and communicate a shared vision for the
department consistent with the hospitals vision.
- You will be skilled at identifying the strengths and weaknesses
of staff performance and work with them on training and development
accordingly.
- You will have the ability to effectively coordinate functions
with staff, physicians and other departments of the hospital with a
focus on throughput based on the patient's needs.What
qualifications you will need:
- Current Idaho nursing license in good standing or compact
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required with
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Past clinical experience working in a high acuity hospital
environment with progressive levels of increased responsibility
and/or past supervisory experienceThe largest medical facility in
the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center(EIRMC) is a
full-service hospital with 318 plus patient beds. We serve as the
region's healthcare provider and serve southeast Idaho, western
Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is
home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in
Idaho), and the only emergency room in Idaho Falls. We have the
region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill
children. We offer inpatient and outpatient mental health care for
adolescents and adults at its 74-bed Behavioral Health Center.We
