IT Senior Project Manager at Allegheny Science and Technology in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description DescriptionAllegheny Science & Technology (AST) is looking for a Sr. Project Manager that will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and tracking all aspects of projects, including technology, schedule, cost, deliverables and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel and provide pro-active leadership with complex technical tasks. The Sr. Project Manager will also evaluate effectiveness of project organization and make changes when needed, as well as, interact regularly with senior management and customers. He/she will assess performance of subordinates, and coach them as needed while overseeing personnel training, mentoring, and assigning increased responsibilities as appropriate. In addition, this person will be responsible for the following: Job Responsibilities: Design and implement IT systems to meet business needs.Lead subsystem design.Participate in system design terface with customers to define system requirements and priorities.Analyze, resolve or assist in resolving production problems.Lead or support business studies and feasibility studies.Offer technical knowledge and skill in specialized in server virtualization technology (Hyper-V).Performance of server/network administration and hosting activities including:Email, internal/external web and database applications server administration.Policy and procedure development for backup and disaster recovery processes.Server administration and account management.Email server/client administration.Server/Client system configuration and application management.Antivirus administration.Account management and retention policies.Design / fault tolerance and redundancy (server and infrastructure).End user and system devices auditing and reporting (Syslog collections).System backup and disaster recovery.Automated and manual device updates and patches.DOEnet connectivity and monitoring.Job Requirements: Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or other related scientific or technical discipline.Must be able to meet the requirements for acquiring an HSPD-12 badge and a DOE Q Clearance.Minimum Experience: 10-15 years of experience supporting the U.S. Department of Energy, (DOE) as a Project Manager.A MSCE Certification is Preferred.
