position provides day-to-day operational leadership of services
within Star Valley Health (SVH). This leader is responsible for
supporting staff in their assigned area to ensure patient care is
at the forefront of everything we do. As a visionary of the area,
this leader develops innovative ideas to help SVH continue to
provide high quality care to our patients and create efficiencies
to benefit the organization. The Practice Manager identifies,
develops, and supports performance metrics that align with Star
Valley Health strategies and goals. This leader helps grow and
develop staff and inspires them to give every patient and every
employee the best experience.JOB DUTIES1) Evaluates processes,
services, and talent within the area of oversight, identifying
areas for improvement as opportunities for success.2) Takes action.
Uses information and research to take calculated risks while
monitoring changes and making modifications as necessary.3) Guides
staff through change by providing clear communication and utilizing
change management strategies.4) Uses financial, departmental, and
external resources to create innovation and efficiencies.5)
Responds to and resolves patient complaints.6) Builds effective
relationships with others while inspiring them to perform at their
best each day while providing honest, real-time feedback:a) Builds
common ground by actively engaging in and seeking out conversations
of a sensitive nature.b) Meets rounding standards set forth by Star
Valley Health.c) Models AIDET and holds themselves and all
teammates accountable for meeting behavior expectations at all
times.d) Provides leadership to direct reports through effective
hiring, comprehensive department orientation, training, mentoring
and coaching.7) Identifies knowledge gaps and develops employees by

Ensures that effective plans are in place to meet staffing,
production, quality, and loyalty targets.9) Manages clinic revenues
and expenses, team member and provider engagement, clinical
quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Makes course corrections
when needed.10) Provides analysis of scorecards, patient engagement
reports, and other appropriate data to physicians and team
members.11) Identifies opportunities for improvement to deliver
high quality care, clinical, and service outcomes.12) Ensures
compliance with requirements of all Federal & State regulatory
agencies.Requirements:REQUIREMENTSEssential Job Functions:1)
Directs broad operations of a medical practice to ensure the
provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with
all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.2) Ensures a
collaborative departmental approach to operational planning, care
and service design and development of standard work, policies,
procedures, and daily standard work, which reflect the mission of
the organization and the strategic development of the practice.3)
Coordinates and oversees departmental services. Continuously
assesses measures and improves departmental performance through
positive employee engagement activities. Inspires others with the
credibility to enlist action.4) Demonstrates clinical, technical,
and managerial competency. Analyze results, derive conclusions and
recommend improvement activities and priorities.5) Read financial
data in order to prioritize activities that improve the financial
health of the practice through responsible management of
departmental resources.6) Effectively communicate vertically and
horizontally throughout the organization and externally to patients
and other stakeholders.7) Utilize a scientific approach to problem
solving utilizing scientific method, lean, Six Sigma, etc.Knowledge
Skills and Abilities:1) Demonstrates sound judgment, patience and
maintains a professional demeanor at all times while working in a
busy and stressful environment.2) Ability to conceptualize the body
of knowledge in practice management through operations management,
financial management, human resource management, organizational
governance, patient-centered care, and risk and compliance
management.3) Demonstrates an understanding of information
technology through computer skills and working knowledge of
computer concepts and software applications: Work, Excel, Outlook,
and electronic medical records software.4) Strong leadership
development and skills through clearly defined support and
expectations, inspiring confidence and motivation and positive
employee engagement.5) Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT
coding and how it affects reimbursement from third party payers and
the technical skills that reflect expertise and the ability to
perform a specific work task.6) Developed conceptual skills with
the ability to critically analyze and solve complex problems using
innovation, creativity, problem analysis and decision-making.7)
Demonstrates strong organizational skills as well as interpersonal
skills through verbal and written communication skills that enable
a manager to prioritize and communicate with and work well with
other individuals, regardless of whether they are peers,
supervisors, or subordinates.Experience & Education:Minimum
Qualifications:1) Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration or
related field or equivalent experience.2) Previous healthcare
management experience is strongly preferred.3) Proficiency with
Epic electronic medical record strongly preferred.4) Knowledge of
medical terminology is beneficial.5) Knowledge of state and federal
eligibility and funding beneficial.Note: Position descriptions are
