The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) at the Idaho National
Laboratory (INL) is seeking applicants for a Document
Control/Records Management Assistant reporting to the Document
Management Department Manager within the MFC Business Division.
INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for DOE-NE,
providing much of the nuclear research, development, and
demonstration capability needed to move nuclear innovation forward
to deployment. MFC hosts a unique combination of personnel,
facilities, and infrastructure and offers the ability to perform
research and development of nuclear fuels from fuel design,
development, and fabrication through post irradiation analysis.
Document control/records management personnel work in a fast-paced
environment providing document control services by releasing,
reproducing, and distributing documents to requestors, and by
managing active and inactive drawings. Provide records management
services by consulting with staff on proper records management
practices, and by protecting, maintaining, and transferring
long-term records as needed. Key functions of the role are:
Accurately, completely, and efficiently perform high-volume, very
detailed functions with a conscientious attitude towards documents
Utilizing independent judgment and attention to detail, performs
document and records management tasks of substantial variety and/or
complexity demonstrating a highly developed knowledge in all
aspects of document management.
Recognized source of knowledge for questions and issues dealing
with document control and records management.
Requires instruction and guidance for only the most complex
Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed for
soundness of judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy to accomplish
self-initiated and directed tasks.
Interacts with peers at the group level and builds and maintains
effective customer relationships.
