Performance Improvement Registered Nurse Burn Unit

The largest medical facility in the region,Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a full-service hospitalwith 318 patient beds. It serves as the regions healthcare hub, servingsoutheast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts ofMontana. EIRMC is home toa Level II Trauma Center , a Level 1 ICU (ofonly two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center inthe state of Idaho. Our ER is the mostexperienced in the region. The hospital's other specialty services include theregion's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit capable of caring for babies born asearly as 22 weeks gestation; the regions only Pediatric Intensive Unit, thelargest heart program in the region, a Behavioral Health Center which is a74-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatrichospital and the regions only Primary Stroke Center . This position is responsible forprocess improvement within the Burn program.
*Requires attention to detail to ensure that all identified loops areclosed and that ongoing issues are resolved.
*Responsible for ensuring that adequate data is gatheredrelated to any process improvement process.
*Supports the vision of the Verified Burn program andensures EIRMC maintains Verification by the American Burn Association (ABA). by conducting audits and collects data to insure regulatory compliance and quality carestandards for all of Burn Services adults and pediatrics. This includes, butnot limited to: medical records, pharmacy audits, occurrence reports, restraintaudits, volume reports, etc.
*Works closely with the BurnV6 coordinator tocompile data for Burn Committee and Peer review.
*Assists in the preparation ofdocuments for ABA Verification.
*Follow-up on adverse event reports for NEIRBfor CEA.
