We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Phlebotomist at our facility you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing. In this role:*You will collect blood samples and body fluids from patients for laboratory testing including blood cultures and arterial samples for blood gas analysis.*You will register specimens and orders tests in LIS and prepare/label samples for internal or external testing.*You will communicate lab test requests and results to appropriate staff, departments, and/or physicians.*You will collect and document urine drug screens requiring chain of custody and breath alcohol when required.*You will assist with in-services or training as assigned.*You will assist with administrative duties within the laboratory.Qualifications:*Phlebotomy Certification required.*One year of phlebotomy experience or equivalent phlebotomy training program.*Excellent communication/people skills and problem solving skills.*Computer skills and filing/clerical skills.*High attention to detail and accuracy.*American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
