Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience required License: Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho Certifications: Current BLS certification and ACLS required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients across all age groups. Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Description: The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process. This is done according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The RN responds appropriately to life-threatening situations. They organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with necessary providers and leaders. Thorough documentation is required as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements. The RN assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development for self and others. They practice in a clinical environment through the application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The candidate must be able to utilize good judgment and demonstrate patience. They should maintain a professional demeanor at all times. The RN must work in a busy, stressful environment where practice may change to meet new patient safety requirements.
