The Probabilistic Methods & Tools (PMT) organization at INL is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in pursuing a career as a Software Developer/Engineer. The PMT Department is a recognized leader in Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Methods, Models and Applications, Risk Assessment and Support Software Development, and Data Collection and Analysis.

Our people have national- and international-recognized knowledge, skills, and abilities to support INL's mission by ensuring the nations safe, competitive, and sustainable use of engineered systems in many domains by applying our capabilities to impactful issues in risk, reliability, and operational performance.

This work will focus on the maintenance and upgrading of a variety of legacy systems, as well as development of new software capabilities to support risk and reliability analysis.

As a software developer you will be a member of a small team responsible for all facets of software development: design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.

You will start out working on project(s) teams to building effective internal relationships and a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, resource sharing, and mutual respect for those within the PMT Department as well as within the Nuclear Safety & Regulatory Research Division.

Candidates for this software engineer position should have basic to advanced skill and experience in at least several of the following programming areas:
.NET (C#, WebAPI, etc.)
Web development (Angular or Vue, HTML5, CSS)
Desktop development
Knowledge of database systems
User Interface design

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree plus 2 years relevant experience, or Masters degree plus 1 year relevant experience, or Doctorate.

Must have at least 1 year of software development experience.
Must have basic to advanced skills and experience in at least several of the following programming areas:

.NET (C#, WebAPI, etc.)

Web development (Angular or Vue, HTML5, CSS)

Desktop development

Knowledge of database systems

User Interface design
Must have skills in organization, display, and retrieval of complex or scientific data.

Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
