Job Description:

The CloudSystemsAdministrator is responsible for working in a mixed Windows and Unixsoftware environment. The responsibility of the individual is to manage the instances of thecloudinfrastructure services and multiple virtual servers used by the Department of Homeland Security for the protection of the Nation's critical infrastructure. Skills and experience preferred are with the Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. - Must be a US Citizen - Must have an active clearance - Top Secret (TS) at a minimum System administrators generally are tasked with installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting computer assigned systems and servers. While assigned responsibilities will naturally differ based upon the assigned activities and tasks and their unique demands, the administrator will generally be responsible for the following. - System Implementation - System operation and maintenance - Managing server environments, including Windows - Updating systems when new OS versions and system patches become available - Assigned task and activity management per the project management or technical point of contact direction - Light scripting (e.g., automation and startup scripts) - May include light coding - User administration - Creating group policy and backup/restore policy - User Support (Not Helpdesk) - Configuration Management - Change Management - Adherence to prescribed architecture - System documentation - Testing - Verification and Validation - Information and cyber security Employee Job Functions Employee Job Functions are physical actions and/or working conditions associated with the position.
