Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) MFC Rad Con Operations group is seeking forward-thinking, professionals interested in exploring a career as a Radiological Control Computer Software Support Engineer (RCCSSE)! This role:

  • Provides day-to-day support for Radiological Control (RadCon) software and applications used by the RadCon organization at Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC).
  • Requires day-to-day support and to remain accessible during working and non-working hours (essentially 24/7/365) to support/resolve MFC RadCon IM software application issues.
  • Provide recommendations, guidance and software support to MFC RadCon program using software engineering skills to provide computer, electronic, instrumentation, control system, and technical support.
  • Responsible for software design, development, installation, testing/troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Provides significant input, plan and perform complex cutting edge and unique tasks while completing work within schedule.
  • Coordinats with the RadCon IM Lead with providing software and hardware input/support on an as needed basis to the RadCon directorate.
  • Responsibilities include updating and modernizing computer systems, providing system research, testing, and documentation.
  • Coordinates primarily with RadCon Management and Radiological Engineering Instrumentation SMEs.
  • Must be capable of obtainimg and maintaining initial RadWorker 2 Qualification and work to become knowledgeable of RadCon principles to better assess and understand the complex needs of the RadCon staff. Minimum Requirements:
    • Level 2 - Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and 2 years meaningful experience OR demonstrated ability/education in lieu of a bachelors' degree.
    • Level 3 - BS in relevant field plus 5 years' meaningful experience OR demonstrated ability/education in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
    • Relevant experience/knowledge: C#, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, Office 365, Oracle database client, PL/SQL, T-SQL, web design (HTML5, CSS3), Windows Server and client operation systems, basic programming logic, design, advanced queries, database stored procedures, triggers, reporting and concepts.       • Microsoft T-SQL certification, Oracle PL/SQL certification, and Microsoft Server certification Job Information
