Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Project Management Office is seeking forward-thinking, professionals interested in exploring a career as an Assurance and Process Improvement Coordinator!

The position will support the assurance program and continuous process improvement initiatives for Business Management including the Project Management Office (PMO). This person will support issues management (problem identification and resolution), assessments, development of key performance indicators, performance improvement initiatives, human performance improvement (HPI), risk management, lessons learned, post event investigations including root cause analysis and critiques, and other elements as assigned. This person recommends improvements in solving human performance issues and operational performance improvement processes. This teammate will apply process improvement techniques, such as Six Sigma, to streamline processes to help the Business Management organization and the laboratory to meet mission objectives.

In addition, this position supports Lab leadership in developing appropriate and sustainable corrective actions and ensuring lessons learned are internalized and fully implemented. This individual will also work on significant and unique issues and will provide solutions that are innovative and may result in significant changes to processes.

This role will be performed with a high degree of autonomy. They will represent the organization as the primary contact on projects, initiatives, and assessments they lead and will work with multiple organizations to achieve objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' of meaningful experience - Master's Degree and 6 years' meaningful experience
  • Ability to influence change at all levels and work in a culturally diverse organization
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments, developing key performance indicators, developing corrective actions, and resolving issues in commercial, nuclear, or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of HPI
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and passionate about team and laboratory success
  • Excellent skills in writing, verbal communication, relationship management, planning and organizing
  • Above average computer skills

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Knowledge of performance improvements techniques such as Six Sigma
    • Project Management experience at the INL
