The largest medical facility in the region,
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a
full-service hospital with 318 patient beds. It serves as the
region’s healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming,
Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana.
EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma
Center, a Level 1
ICU (of only two in Idaho), and the
Center in the state of Idaho.
Our ER is the most
experienced in the region. The hospital's other specialty services
include the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit capable of caring for babies born as
early as 22 weeks gestation; the region’s only Pediatric
Intensive Unit, the largest heart program in the region,
a Behavioral Health

*Prepares each patient with appropriate
pre-procedure instructions and obtains pertinent history by
personal phone call.
*Coordinates and communicates pre-admission
information to appropriate staff, departments and
*Completes pre and post op
*Evaluates and documents each patient’s response to
*Formulates and coordinates patient’s plan of care
based on assessment of patient needs.
*Safely and accurately administers medication and IV
*Maintains and sustains professional ethics and

DEMANDS: The cardiac
cath lab is a very fluid operation and the procedures must be
performed quickly and accurately. Ability to greet and explain
procedures to patients and their families and the timing of the
procedures is needed to maintain a good work
*Procedures are never standardized and new
situations constantly arise which necessitate independent decision
making to meet the needs of the department.

*Position has frequent interaction with the different
departments within Cardiology; the Physician, Cardiology staff, and
Nursing staff. Therefore the person must have maturity, and
sensitivity, also the ability to take direction in stressful
situation while remaining calm.
*Requires a RN, from
accredited school of nursing, plus 1 year hospital clinical
*Must maintain State
Registered Nurse license or Compact License, CPR
certification. Basic arrhythmia course completion.
ACLS/PALS certification provided upon hire.
