Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of patients to the clinic. Ensures that the patient's information is collected, entered in the computer system accurately, and that all patients are aware of office policies and procedures. Accurately and in a timely manner is able to schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for clinic patients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for scheduling patients to be seen in the office. Accurately obtains appropriate histories, prior diagnostic tests results, and all other necessary information to facilitate constructive patient visits to the office. Verifies healthy connection referrals are in place, if required.Responsible for obtaining signature on Condition of Admission forms.Responsible for gathering correct information for proper insurance submission.Check for cancellations daily through reminder call.Schedules return appointments and procedures.Prepare charts/paperwork/consents for following days patients.Receive patient payments or a co-payment as required. Posts transactions appropriately to system. Minimum of three month's related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Terminology is not necessary but preferable.Ability to use hospital information system, electronic medical record and operate basic computer functions and software.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to patients, their families, referring offices, diagnostic and therapeutic facilities via phone, fax, computerized ordering systems and in person.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
