members to do the same. The Disbursements Services team is
responsible for processing all payments to our suppliers and
operational employees. We're looking to hire a talented individual
who can not only get the day-to-day done efficiently and accurately
but help take this role to the next level! What a "Day in the Life"
is Like A typical day as a Disbursements Services Administrator
includes providing training on all functional areas within the
Accounts Payable department and encouraging teamwork through use of
best practices, continuous improvement and innovative thinking, and
promoting a positive working environment. You will prepare
financial reconciliations including the daily ACH payment
reconciliations, credit card/bank reconciliations and the monthly
Accounts Payable/Purchase Order/General Ledger reconciliations. You
will be responsible for the 1099 annual reporting and the bi-annual
unclaimed property/ escheatment reporting and maintaining the
vendor master files to ensure compliance with federal and state
reporting regulations. Do You Have the Ingredients to Become a
Basic American Foods Hero? We're Looking for Someone With:
- Associate's Degree and three years of experience or equivalent
training and /or experience
- Good understanding of general accounting functions, including
debits and credits and how they impact the general ledger.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial account
reconciliations. Additional Traits That Set You Apart:
- Knowledge of ADAGE or comparable ERP system is required. Good
working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint is also required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices,
purchase orders, bills of lading and other shipping/receiving
documents. Ability to read and interpret policies and procedure
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with
all levels of personnel within the company as well as with
vendors/customers outside of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to change.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to
deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
