Job Description:

Journeys DDA's Children's Crisis Program is looking for an individual who loves working with children who have developmental disabilities.This position is an overnight position working one on one with children between the ages of 3 to 21 who have developmental disabilities, functional, or behavioral needs. A lot of these children are trying to get back into their normal lifestyle by managing their emotions and behaviors.You will participate in community activities with each client to help them be as independent as they are able to be. These activities range from sports practice, games, crafts, and other age and developmentally appropriate activities. General Responsibilities Implement, document, and maintain standards, qualities, and safeguards to comply with regulations and participants preferences Meet qualifications for specific services provided Receive instruction on the needs of participant Demonstrate ability to provide services Develop, improve, and maintain the developmentally appropriate functional abilities needed by the participant Support and follow the direction of a supervisor Assure compliance with and all other safety requirements Develop working relationship with other staff Assume responsibility for shift when designated to do so Problem-solve and make programmatic suggestions when appropriate Attend all trainings Attend supervision No mileage reimbursement Minimum Qualifications Pass a rule compliant Criminal History and Background Check Be under the supervision of qualified supervisor Meet training requirements At least 18 years or older Have a high school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and car insuranceJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $11.00 per hourBenefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Professional development assistance Referral program Vision insuranceSchedule: After school Monday to FridayApplication Question(s): Are you willing/able to pass a criminal background check?
