Locum Tenens - Idaho Falls, ID Board-Certified Adult & Child/Adolescent Psychiatry OpeningAssignment DetailsOpen Dates:

• June 9-15, 2025
• June 23-29, 2025Note: Not a full 7-on/7-off schedule but may transition into one depending on current locum availability post-June.Schedule:
  • 7 on / 7 off model
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 3-4 calls per 7-day block (24-hour call)
    • Covers consults, admissions, discharges, and psych emergenciesLocation: Idaho Falls, IdahoEMR: MeditechLicensing & Certification Requirements
      • Board Certification:
        • Adult Psychiatry - Required
        • Child & Adolescent Psychiatry - RequiredClinical ScopeAdult Inpatient Psychiatry
          • Beds: 37 total across 2 units
          • Census: 30-37
          • Rounding: 15-18 patients/day
          • Admissions: Avg. 5-7/day (up to 10 on peak days)
          • Discharges: Avg. 4-5/day (up to 6-8 on peak days)
          • Consults: 3 new/day + follow-ups
          • Average Length of Stay: 5-7 days
          • Staffing: 2 Psychiatrists, 2-3 residents, no APPs
          • H&Ps: Completed by Family Medicine providersChild & Adolescent Psychiatry Unit
            • Beds: 25
            • Census: 20
            • Rounding: 10-14 patients/day
            • Admissions: 2-3/day
            • Discharges: 2-3/day
            • Consult Rotation: 1-2 days/week (1-2 consults/day)
            • Staffing: 1 Psychiatrist + 1 MHNP
            • Average Length of Stay: 10 days
